Osimhen Bound for Galatasaray
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to join Turkish Süper Lig giants Galatasaray on a season-long-loan.
The 25-year-old has travelled to Istanbul and will undergo a medical ahead of the move, which has stunned European football.
Osimhen has racked up 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli since joining from Lille back in 2020 and is widely seen as one of the best forwards in the world today. To sign him represents a huge coup from Galatasaray’s perspective.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the reigning champions of Türkiye will be covering Osimhen’s full salary over the course of his loan, but there is said to be no obligation or option to buy.
With 21 goals in 35 caps for Nigeria, Osimhen will become only the sixth Super Eagle to represent Galatasaray, following the likes of Peter Etebo and Henry Onyekuru.
