Egypt come into this one on the back of an impressive run of form since a disappointing 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations campaign earlier this year. The Pharaohs began their 2025 AFCON qualification campaign by hammering both Cape Verde and Botswana during the September international break, scoring seven goals without conceding. They now face a Mauritania side that have improved over the last few years but will still simply set up to try and frustrate the Egyptians in this one, especially away from home. Hossam Hassan’s side are the overwhelming favourites for this one and should once again win comfortably and potentially with a clean sheet.
