It is the intercontinental derby and the first of its kind involving Jose Mourinho. His Fenerbahce side have started the 2024/25 Turkish Super Lig season with four victories and a draw but such has been the standard set in the Turkish top-flight by Galatasaray, that is not actually enough to sit at the top-of-the-table because Gala come into this one having won all five matches, scoring 17 goals in the process. Fener most recently cruised past Kasimpasa by two goals to nil, whilst Gala eased beyond Gaziantep in midweek. This should be quite an entertaining encounter with a lot of cards and a lot of debate but a double chance bet in favour of the visiting defending champions appears the best value.
