England required a dramatic turnaround to defeat world number 45 side Slovakia in the Round of 16 with Jude Bellingham’s 95th minute overhead kick taking the game into extra-time before Harry Kane notched his second of the tournament to see the Three Lions through to the last eight. Performances simply have to improve, though, and there is a general feeling that if they play the same way this weekend then the Swiss will be able to move into their first ever major tournament semi-final. Murat Yakin’s side were much the better side in their 2-0 defeat of defending champions Italy in the previous round and, despite uncertainty within the camp coming into UEFA EURO 2024, appear a reunited and tactically astute side with several attacking points to hurt opposition. Backing a double chance bet in favour of the Swiss would seem good value for this one in Dusseldorf.
